I just got a mental image/idea.
Tim discovers the Harry Potter series on his most recent visit to normal!Earth, and after skimming the first few chapters of the first book, he bought the entire series, the box set of the movies, and brought it all back to his world where the series doesn’t exist.
(DC!Earth is woefully deprived of the brilliance that is J.K. Rowling.)
(Also, Tam is reading The Hunger Games series, so she hasn’t had a chance to swipe any of the HP books yet from Tim’s collection, though she’s intrigued by the way Tim’s completely hooked into it.)
During one of Tim’s healing-from-injuries-including-broken-bones weeks, Cassie, Conner, and Bart show up to hang out, cheer him up, and get him to relax because normal workaholic Tim is sure to be stuck at his computer trying to do mission reports, hacking enemy computer systems, and such instead of resting. To their surprise, they find him curled up on the sofa, wrapped in a large fluffy blanket, reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
He’s so engrossed in the story, he doesn’t even realize his friends have come in. (All three of them have spare keys to get into his place, for when he’s stuck in his underground base working.)
